River of Life Church, Movie Night 2-24-2012

One of the best things that I get to do in this ministry is to promote fellowship. “River of Life Church” is also a believer in Christian fellowship and is once again, sponsoring Movie Night.  Movies are scheduled for every other Friday night starting at 7pm. Pastor Judith Rossano is  passionate about Gods’ call for like minded Christians to fellowship and share Gods’ word. I have personally spent time at this church and have found it to be very warm and welcoming as well as energetic and inspirational. We highly recommend visiting her family oriented church located at 604 N. Black Horse Pike, Blackwood, N.J. You may also reach them at 856.261.7812 or by visiting River of Life Church .

Hope Thrift

Hope Thrift has come a long way. Born out of the efforts of the Seeds of Hope Ministry, Thrift Hope has something for everyone. The store houses everything from well maintained kids toys, clothing and furniture to used electronics.

We would like to encourage you to get involved with this ministry. You can simply donate items by stopping in the store. Someone will help you unload if needed. Then take a moment to shop and to admire the effort that it took to put this all together. This ministry is exceptional and it gives all the glory to God.

Modern Day Abolitionists

ab·o·li·tion·ist

[ab-uh-lish-uh-nist]

noun

1.

(especially prior to the Civil War) a person who advocated or supported the abolition  of slavery in the U.S.
2.

a person who favors the abolition  of any law or practice deemed harmful to society: the abolitionists who are opposed to capital punishment (Dictionary.com).

Theresa and I just returned from the Dining for Dignity breakfast. I must admit, I knew that I was against the exploitation of women and the human trafficking that goes on in our country and around the world. But, I never took the time to think about what my grade school history teacher Mr. Higbee, really taught me.

I am an abolitionist. A person who advocates and supports the abolition  of slavery in the U.S. And to update this definition to a more modern interpretation, I am a person who advocates and supports the abolition of slavery, trafficking and exploitation of human beings.

Did you know that there are over 100,000 women being trafficked right now in the USA? According to Minister Smith-Master, there are over 500 prostitution rings disguised as massage parlors just in New Jersey? That is mind blowing! We heard stories of women, I mean children some as young as 9 years old being kidnapped, held at gun point and gang raped only, to be dis-guarded on the street after contracting any serious STD. Beaten down into a hopeless and submissive states, these women often end up dead or working the streets to survive.

I did a search for statistics of how many stds there are? Answer: “According to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, there are at least 50 known STD?s recorded. Among the most common STD?s in America are chlamydia, gonorrhoea, herpes, chancroid, HIV/AIDS, syphilis, pelvic inflammatory disease and viral hepatitis for which young adults and adolecsents are at most risk – Ask.com.”

“There doesn’t seem to be any statistics on how many std’s the average prostitute has but most probably have at least one.

Answered – - ChaCha.com”.

We heard stories of children being sold to Indian Priests as Temple Prostitutes. We heard stories of straight A students, (good girls) not the stereotyped bad girl scenarios you hear about, running away to be with the boyfriend that they met on facebook. No, these are “Good Girl” kidnappings in the United States by older men that know how and what to say to a young UN-suspecting teen girl to make her feel safe, feel pretty, unique and appreciated. Then as soon as they are in an optimal position or location they are abducted, beaten, raped, starved and sold into slavery for hellish men to feast on.

We highly recommend the attending the Dining for Dignity monthly breakfast at Adelphias in Deptford, N.J.  and Kelly Smith-Master’s, Spirit driven, message that the Ministry provides. Her passion on the subject of pornography and human trafficking is inspiring and motivating.  JerseyRose Ministries looks forward to being a part of ” the Army Rising Up Breaking All of the Chains”

Available for a $2.00 donation at the breakfast

The Beauty from God

What a Wonderful Prayer Event

Have you ever been to an event, thinking it was going to be the same olld thing as before. Then before you know it your experiencing one of the most memorable nights of your life.
Before I found Jesus, I was in a dark hole. And ever since that day when I decided to give my life to him, there hasn’t been a week gone by that I haven’t experienced or realized how wonderful the light of love of Jesus is.
Last night was no different. A powerful prayer event at FAC.
The evening started with worship. One of the best parts of the worship service was that almost all of the 200 plus christians there were singing their hears out and raising their arms up high, praising our Lord Jesus and savior.
After worship service the prayer event began. We started by praying in groups of about 20. We then split off into groups of about 10. Next we prayed in a group of 6. Then just 2 of us. Finally we had a choice to pray alone or with one of the Pastors or Elders. The last 10 minutes or so ended with several worship songs and finally, “How Great is Our God”.
I have to say, I can’t wait to see what next week brings.
Praise Jesus

Being In Love with Christ

We need to ask the Lord to show us how to love him the way he wants us too. All. While knowing we will never be able to live up to it. Best we can do is come real close, like Roselee.
